The Law Society has introduced a new quality accreditation scheme for professionals that that specialise in will writing, probate and estate administration work.

The Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme, opening at the end of October 2013, provides a quality standard for this area.

The Law Society states that membership of the scheme is based upon:

• the integrity of the Senior Responsible Officer, practitioners and staff involved in will writing and estate administration;
• the firm’s adherence to good practice management standards;
• adherence to the scheme Protocol, setting standards in quality client care.

Applications for accreditation will be accepted from 21 October 2013.
