We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our growing dynamic team. Based in Loughborough, this role offers a varied working day and the chance to collaborate with colleagues at all levels. After an initial training period, we offer the flexibility of hybrid working models.
The ideal candidate is someone with strong written and communication skills and a good knowledge of CQS, Lexcel, SQM and SRA Regulations. Proven experience in compliance in the legal sector is desirable for this position.

We draft and maintain comprehensive documents, provide expert advice, and assist on a range of compliance issues. Your Role:
- Draft suites of compliance documents for law firms to include; Quality Manual, Business Development Plans, Financial Crime Prevention Manual and Data Security and Information Governance Manual.
- Draft compliance articles and guidance notes covering topics such as AML, Sanctions, Data Protection, SRA Compliance and others.
- Prepare comprehensive applications to the SRA for new firm authorisation, change of entity and other submissions including drafting the application and preparing supporting documents.
- Assist clients with audit preparations to include SQM, Lexcel, CQS and LAA.
- Review SRA-regulated law firm websites for compliance with Transparency Rules and other legislative requirements.
- Lead elements of internal team training.
- Provide compliance advice over the telephone and via email.

What We’re Looking For:
Essential Credentials:
- Proven experience of compliance in the legal sector
- Strong time management skills and self-motivation.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Proficient IT skills, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Zoom
Desirable Attributes:
- Ability to deliver external training on specific compliance topics.
- Knowledge of some or all of the following:
- AML regulations and LSAG
- the Financial Sanctions Regime
- GDPR
- DSAR
- ICO
- Lexcel
- SQM
- CQS
- Working knowledge of Monday.com

Salary: From £35,000 a year
