The Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 requires us to help you if you wish to make a complaint about how we use your personal data. Should you wish to raise a complaint about a potential breach of your personal data or if you have any other concern about our handling of your personal data, please complete this data protection complaints form. Alternatively, you may wish to write to our Data Protection Officer, Melanie O’Brien by email to consultants@dglegal.co.uk or by post to DG Legal, 39 The Rushes, Loughborough, LE11 5BG. Our Data Protection Officer will assess and respond to your data protection complaint in accordance our Data and Privacy Notice. In particular, they will acknowledge the complaint within 30 days and, without undue delay, take appropriate steps to respond to the complaint and inform you of the outcome.
In the event of an allegation of a breach of Personal Data and/or any concern that our firm has not handled your personal information properly, we will consider whether a report needs to be made to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Not all breaches are reportable, and we will advise you of the results of our assessment.
You can find guidance on our obligations under data and information rights legislation on the ICO’s website as well as information on their regulatory powers and the action they can take. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO provided that you have first allowed us the opportunity to attempt to resolve it ourselves.
