Emma Holmes

Role and Background

Emma joined DG Legal in March 2017, bringing with her extensive experience in ISO 9001 compliance implementation and annual auditing. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a counter-signatory for a DBS umbrella body, where she was responsible for undertaking final checks on applications prior to submission.

Emma began her career at DG Legal as an Assistant Consultant, supporting clients in achieving and maintaining a range of quality assurance accreditations, including Lexcel, CQS and the SQM.

For the past nine years, she has assisted a considerable number of firms with their SRA applications, playing a key role in guiding new firms through the SRA authorisation process from initial instruction through to approval. This includes applications for Recognised Bodies, Licensed Bodies and Changes of Entity, together with comprehensive client onboarding, advising on regulatory requirements, coordinating and reviewing supporting documentation, liaising with the SRA, and ensuring applications are robust, compliant, and submission‑ready.

Having progressed to the role of Consultant, Emma now also serves as Client Services Manager. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing all incoming work to the firm and managing the onboarding of new clients, ensuring they receive structured, responsive, and practical support from the outset of their relationship with DG Legal. She also manages the firm’s internal retainer clients, acting as a central point of contact, coordinating ongoing compliance support, and ensuring consistency and continuity of service across all client matters.

In addition, Emma oversees HR matters within the firm and works closely with Alison and the wider Management Team, contributing to both the strategic direction of the business and the day‑to‑day management of operations.
