Pam qualified as a Solicitor in 1981 and was a Partner at both Thompsons Solicitors and Howells LLP one of the largest legal aid firms in the country. Latterly she led the delivery of over 250,000 acts of assistance (in welfare law subjects) through the Civil Legal Advice telephone advice service and two Community Legal Advice Centres. In 2012/13 she was a member of the Lowe Commission on Legal Aid and received an OBE for services to legal aid in June 2014.
Her experience of delivering contractually compliant services to Peer Review 2 standards puts her in an ideal place to advise on LAA audits and the Peer Review process. She can also give guidance on developing internal case management systems to improve advice, casework quality and client care as well as overall profitability.
As a former employment lawyer she can provide assistance on performance management processes to maximise staff effectiveness and avoid employment tribunals.
An accomplished speaker and experienced trainer Pam works with law firms and advice agencies training on supervision skills, time management, Peer Review, Lexcel & SQM, Equality & Diversity.
