David Gilmore, Director, DG Legal
David founded DG Legal in 2000. It is the largest provider of strategic and compliance services operating in the legal sector only in England & Wales.
David has worked with several government departments & international charities in addition to providing advice and assistance to hundreds of law firms and other legal organisations over the past 25 years. He delivers specialist consultancy and training on a wide range of topics including business management & strategy, tendering, compliance and quality assurance.
David has designed various software products to assist practitioners including Email Checker, Compliance Caddy and Recorded Delivery. In 2016 David was appointed as a Commissioner advising Lord Bach on policy relating to Justice and Legal Aid.
ichard Miller, Head of Justice, The Law Society
Richard Miller qualified as a solicitor in 1992 and worked for 8 years in a small high street legal aid firm in Kent. In 2000, he became the first full time director of the Legal Aid Practitioners Group, where he was responsible for preparing the Group’s policy responses to a whole host of Government consultations on changes to the legal aid system. In August 2007, he became Head of Legal Aid at the Law Society. In 2016 he became Head of Justice. He is leading the Society’s work on the Criminal Legal Aid Review, the workstreams arising from the LASPO review, and engagement with the HMCTS court reform programme as well as overseeing work on civil justice, pro bono, advocacy and judicial diversity.
