Wellbeing In The Workplace Webinar
Content
The SRA has published its expectations of firms and individuals with regards to wellbeing. Where the SRA considers that firms or individuals have failed to put in place measures to appropriately look after colleagues’ wellbeing, they will not shy away from taking regulatory action.
In this free 90 minute webinar, Hannah Haywood of Bhayani HR & Employment Law, will provide an overview of why wellbeing is important and how to improve wellbeing in the workplace.
Both employees and employers have a duty of care – employees are also expected to look after their own health and safety. There are several things which can affect employees in the workplace though, these can include:
- Troublesome relationships with colleagues and/or their manager
- Stresses at home which are too great for the employee to be able to forget about
- The way the job is designed
- Whether they get a work/life balance and if there are any options to work flexibly
- The lack of decision-making ability.
Good relationships at work ensure that the workplace is healthy and effective, but it’s more than just paying lip service to ‘wellbeing’. A holistic approach is more beneficial overall.
The webinar will look at:
- Building stress resilience for individuals and for business
- How to spot the signs of stress in yourself and your team
- The power of business culture and leading by example
- How to address the issue of overwhelm and burnout in the workplace
- Realistic wellbeing initiatives
Remember – being creative is key! It goes without saying that if you look after your employees, they will in turn look after your clients.
